I mean no disrespect, but you will be much better served by actually trying to learn and/or do for yourself than simply barking off questions, expecting others to do for you. This is a hobby of knowledge, sir, and those willing to achieve it have much better chances of success than those stumbling through hoping for the best.
There is a cachet to old coins even if they are dateless. If silver coinage were going for 12X face, recognizable old coins (standing libs, etc) might go for 15X - 20X.
1916 or some 1917's need to be Type-I. The coin you show is a Type-II, so it can't be a 1916. Maybe a 1917 Type-II, but not worth a premium.
I was just wondering if we all knew to look at her hair..... Yes, it is a Type 2 coin from 1917 to 1924. There is no solvent that can restore the date of a silver coin. Cleaning is never recommended. The SLQ in my avatar is a dateless 1917 T1 Worth about $3.25 based on melt ~ http://www.coinflation.com/
Anything you use to bring out the date, will damage the coin. Melt value is currently $3.05 but it's probably worth keeping just because it is an SLQ. A dateless 1916 has value because of the 52,000 minted and the first year of the series. In G-4 it is $2000-$2500. So it's still a 4 figure coin dateless.
If I were buying silver 90% coin for bullion, I would much rather have 10-1964 quarters than 10-dateless SL quarters. There is a big difference in weight of about 10%.
I looked up on youtube that people cleaned it using baking soda and boiling water. Will it show the date?
If you'd prefer to believe what some click bait "channel" tells you over what you've been told here (and I assume haven't bothered to research via old threads), perhaps you should try it out and let us know how it goes.
The dates on the SLQ's wore off very quickly and easily. Cleaning it may not bring out the date. You could try etching it (white vinegar and a few drops hydrogen peroxide) that works on Buffalo nickels I don't know about silver coins, but etching them ruins them, so you may be able to read the date. But it's still only going to be worth melt.
I will give you 2× face for every datless slq you have. I hope you have hundreds of them. Please sell them to me I just love datless slqs I guess.
