I was given this book a couple of years ago and found it to be surprisingly informative. :thumb::thumb::thumb: Anyone else have a copy with the copy coins.

    Art Numismatist?

I had a similar book with only two coin copies in the cover. It was an interesting read.

Looks neat, I would like to get some real coins from that time.

There are plenty around, and you can get a good selection for cheap.

Go to Vcoins, do a search typing in 'prutah' or 'widow's mite', 'herod the great' etc. To see the cheapest ones use a price filter. You should see a fair number.

You are going to have to live with unattractive, corroded coppers for under $300 or so !

Yes, like these 'widow mites' for under $20 each.

Your preferences are clearly for other types of coins. However, for the purposes of the thread (coins with Biblical reference), they may in fact be interesting enough. Even their shape yields a story in the particular minting process used.
