Unsurprisingly there are a lot of absolute beauties in this thread. As I tend to focus on the Dombes coinage now, my buying of roman has known a "slowdown" in the past few years. Oh !! And of course I forgot my wonderful owl, which was in the 600-1000 price range, but I didn't pay for it as it was a gift from my beloved wife (wanna see it...again ?) ATTICA, Athens. @Severus Alexander's Basiliscus semissis and particularly that awesome Nero sestertius were both great buys at the price, in my opinion. I love the look of that Nero! @Alegandron's cute little teeny-tiny Carthaginian goldie is sweet! And the Philip II tet caught my eye, too. Not that there's been any shortage of other eyecandy here... Oh- I like the look of @Cucumbor's Pupienus, too. There's another short reign I find interesting. I had a Pupienus sestertius, once. Never had Balbinus. PS- that OWL is perfect! The look I want in one with a three-figure pricetag (which is all I'll ever be able to afford).
