I just recently picked these up. Can anyone tell me anything about them? Twenty-two total coins here. Thanks ahead of time for any information.
Hi. Can you please take your coins out of their flips and photograph each one (at the most two) at a time showing the obverse and reverse of each? Please crop your photographs so that we can see them as close up as possible. I recommend posting one at a time and then waiting for those who are expert on that type of coin to respond. While you are waiting you can start to research your coins. Just Google them and look at the images and the websites you are directed to go to see similar coins. You will learn a lot that way and that is how we beginners learn. There are various websites to learn about coins but the first step, since you want feedback here, is to get better photographs of your coins so we can actually see them. p.s. If I were you I would start Googling about that coin that says it is 400 B.C. I would want to see what that one is about right away. Don't you? Welcome to CT
I will get better photos in a couple of days when I have time. Not really a coin collector but won these in a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks again for the input here I highly appreciate it. I'll let you know what I can find out a lot the 400 BC one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sure. Please do report back here because now I'm excited to know about that "400 BC" coin, (at least, to start). I did Google it and there is information; but. since I can't satisfy my eye by seeing what you have in your photographs, I'll just try to forget about it for now!
Alright [emoji3] I know values on these things vary depending on many factors as per some quick research. No ball park estimates? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Do the photos of the coins you can see from your quick research look like the coin you have? Can you even see your coin well behind that protective covering you have it in? Are you sure it is authentic? The experts here on CT are truly knowledgeable and willing to help; but, they are busy people and I think they would agree that the 'advice' that I offered you so far (even though I am a newbie myself) is the best and most proper that could be given in response to your original post. I would say that until securing the opinions of our experts here is important enough to you that you will take and post photographs as I described above, you may not get the responses you are looking to receive. I truly look forward to seeing your photographs and learning, along with you, what the CT experts have to say about your coins. It's exciting!
One other thing that is very important. When you post your new photographs (and there is nothing wrong with starting with one coin). It will be most effective if you post it on the 'ancients' forum located here: https://www.cointalk.com/forums/ancients/
