I have a 1983 George Washington quarter no P or D

    I have a 1983 quarter that does not specify if it is made in Denver or Pennsylvania it is just a small dot down by the end of his hair and some other interesting details

    Looks like a P mintmark to me. Right where it is supposed to be.

    Yup, there's definitely a P there.

    Just so you know the mint is the Philadelphia mint. There is no such thing as the Pennsylvania mint.

    That small dot is the P mintmark

    The early P's looked like blobs. They started making them a bit larger so they didn't chip and fill so easily. Sometimes you see the same problem with the D's.
