Most likely, they have very little gold in them. The flakes are usually either extremely thin or gold plated.
I believe Pastry Chefs use these flakes to decorate their cakes and bartenders use it to add to some mixed drinks
Not worth it even if you have aqua regia just sitting around. You’d be better off hunting auctions for jewelry
