    Did any sell?
Flea market hunters such as myself love bargains and to haggle.

I bought the 1912-S Liberty Nickel and am going to buy the 1878-S 2 1/2 $ gold piece. Someone bought the 1932 $10 Indian and I think the rest went back to his safety Deposit Box.

The 1912-S is a huge key date, but that OBV is not VG-10.
I am at 06-08. Love to see the reverse.

Looks good to me. Has a L BER and a Partial T on the Head band and a Strong E Pluribus Unum on the Reverse. I got it at below VG Bid so I'm happy

Know what he had on the 1883 half?

Ooh the reverse is much nicer. It's been said that key dates get a little leniency in grading. But the reverse 1912-S is F-12 so I can see a net grade of 10. 08/12

Is that like when the fire company dinner sells a half-chicken with all the fixins? What kinda taters go with a half-eagle?

Well the reverse is stronger. But I can't go higher than 08 on the obv.
If the date was not clear it would be an easy G-04.(on the obv)
I love the 1912-S. GREAT COIN.

I think this is true, and the stronger reverse is quite normal on these. On my PCGS F12 example, the I in Liberty just isn't there. It would be nice if the obverses were a little stronger for the grade, but you're OK if you don't overpay. JMHO.

Flea markets are hit and miss here. We have outdoor and indoor and once in a while they will have something decent. What I don't like is when a flea market pretends to be an antiques/collectibles store and their prices are way too high. Things can be found and the hunt is part of the fun.

I know a little bit about top end flea markets. The one that famously had a copy of the first printed version (as opposed to the hand written ones) of the Declaration of Independence tucked behind a non-descript painting in a frame is literally within walking distance of my home (for nine more days). I know this because I have walked there. This is ground zero for hidden important relics and antiquities. Coins included - unslabbed and in top end condition. It’s why I NEVER need to listen to the usual “only buy slabbed” advice. All that advice would only serve one end - missing the best stuff in my local area. It’s a FAAAAARRR better advice where I live to buy raw and send in yourself. Of course that means one must LEARN TO GRADE!
