Hi, I've actually somehow got a 2010 olympic lucky coin. I did some researches on the internet and the release date for it was supposed to be November 4, 2009. How much do you guys think it's worth? I've got a photo of what the coin looks like.
I thought that there were already being complete 2010 Olympic sets being sold, which include coins dated 2010. Seems like the one you have "escaped" from one of the sets. From the Royal Canadian Mint website (www.mint.ca): And
The coin was taken from a Vancouver 2010 uncirculated set, Other spent by somebody who did not know better or taken out by somebody who wanted the coins individually. If you found the coin in circulation, and shows some wear its only worth face value. If it was removed to be added to somebodies collection, all I can tell you is that I have seen coin shops sell he coin for $2-4 above face.
