I was wondering if the extra thickness on lincolns right leg and the right side of the chair (both on your left) is a ddr? upon looking further I saw a couple other oddities. it looks like rocks or bushes...but is probably something other. the strange thing that I was able to catch with the loupe is the bright red line running along the column. I usually don't do LC's so I was wondering if that is common. thanks

I believe you are seeing some Die wear. There are some that have doubled knees, I am just not seeing it on your coin.

just wondering as I stated I am not as familiar... the "extra thickness" on his right compared to his left leg and left side of the chair mean nothing? or is it common to appear different frequently?

I'd imagine that with over 5 billion of them minted. There is going to be some variety, the leg does look thick.

Could be an issue with the plating.
If it were some kind of Doubling it's really too tiny to matter anyway. IMHO

Thanks folks. I always ask before assuming I know what I am doing.
