Okay why is it that every time the coin vault sells an American Silver Eagle be it first day issue or any other Silver Eagle they always refer to either the 1995 West Point mint proof coin or the 2007/2008 reverse coin which actually has nothing to do with the individual product that they're selling. I understand it is a talking point ,but 2 separate objects but
Simple economic virtue..........maximize profit. And at the expense of some poor clueless, ill-informed/misinformed, hopeful, energetic, newby, slob.
They need hype. The biggest drum to beat in the Silver American Eagle series is the 1995-W. It hits on many levels. First, there are fewer than 32,000 of them, as well as the fact that most of them went to people who largely didn't collect Silver American Eagles. To those that did want one, but couldn't afford $1,000, there coin has this whole, "you missed it" aspect. This has built resentment in some collectors, as they feel they were sleighted in the way the coin was sold. The 1995-W is the Hindenburg of the past 25 years of coin collecting and they use this single coin to dupe many unknowing buyers into spending way too much for way too little.
Talk about a coin that has lost value. The 95W is down to about $3000 in PR69. It was once about $10,000.
I am still at an Allpoint I still feel that hype does not equate market value Sent from my KYOCERA-E6560 using Tapatalk

If I didn't know that you rely completely on text-to-speech and never actually read what your phone is posting, I'd worry that you're having a stroke. Can you tell us what you were trying to say?
