1943 penny

    1943 pennys two on the right are 1943 d the ones on the left 1943 no mint top corner is silver worth anything ??also the silver one is biggger than the otheres and is slim metal on one side and big on the other ..and they all stick to a magnet ...thanks 20170927_173504~2.jpg

    They're steel cents and that's why they stick to a magnet. No silver involved.

    Little more explanation, they are steel (or iron) cents coated with zinc (kind of like galvanized nails), the iron is why they stick to a magnet and the zinc started off as a light color, but the environment has darkened all the ones in the wild.

    Good and pristine examples command a premium (meager, in and of itself), but for the most part, nice examples are most common and affordable.
