    Here is an earlier issue (296-7) of Diocletian from Heraclea. My notes say the mint operations moved to Thessalonica in 298. When did they move back? or are my notes messed up?

    I think it operated continuously from 291 - 450 AD.

    Here's my favorite! Fake patina maybe? I"m not sure, but the bid I put in for it was assuming that it was fake.

    Apparently I was getting it from RIC. They say the "minting activity was transferred from Heraclea to Thessalonica" in 298. Production resumed in 305. (So it was a pretty brief pause.)

    I only have one Galerius, and it is of the common Moneta variety. But, hey, Moneta represents MONEY! That is always good!
