These were all waiting for me when I got of work today. The first is a nice Alexandrian FH Constantius II 6,31 g. 22 mm. DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG Constantius II pearl-diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO soldier spearing Horseman, bearded, Phrygian helmet, reaching ALEB in ex. Γ in left field Alexandria 72 var The others are about 16mm Another alexandrian and Cyzicus
There are a few of these in the "big bag o romans" I won from @Deacon Ray. Most are pretty worn and I have them set aside. In order to attribute the entire bag o romans, I started grouping the coins by similar reverses, similar legends, etc. The bag of "horsemen" has three or four keeping each other company. For some reason, this reverse and the "emperor dragging a captive" reverse intrigues me. No idea why. Your collection is something to envy. Thanks for sharing it.
Nice job @randygeki ! That CII is a WOW! Nice strike, rich color, great design. Yummy piece of chocolate you have there! I only have 2 Fallen Horsement, but only have this Constantius Gallus that is decent: RI Constantius Gallus Caesar 351-354 AE21 FEL TEMP REPARATIO soldier-spearing-fallen-horseman RIC 348 Siscia
Thanks all @Alegandron Thats a nice one. I have a mint set, but only like like 0.5 % of the over 2000 known variations
Nice coins @randygeki I think I need some more FEL TEMP REPARATIO's. Wait a minute, I have 81 of them! (From my uncleaned hoard days). The first one is exceptional. None of mine are as nice.
