Please throw my name in the hat... I love the idea of being able to start an ancients collection along with the US and World coins.
Yes, that has happened for the most part to me too. But I noticed that once my eyes/brain became more 'sensitive' I began to notice more instances of doubling and other interesting effects that led to more research, reading and learning. (I am still a newbie!)
Ok. So I would be there too. Wonder how many of us could stand shoulder to shoulder peering down in the hole we just dug when our metal detector went "Beeeeeppp"?
I would like to be counted in this as well if you don't mind. Thank you for the opportunity, and congrats on your anniversary!!
Oops. I forgot to tell you what interested me the most. First. I love searching rolls so that would be my first pic and I haven't been able to search in a long time. I also don't have very many ancient coins so that would be my second. Third I love anything with an S mint mark and wheat pennies .
Wow LaCointessa, you most certainly are a very decent person to do what you are doing....We need more people in the world like you!! My hat is off to you Ma'am!
Rigid is very generous of you and great appreciated. Please enter me in your contest. I have always had an interest in older American coins such as the wheaties and the Indian. My dad was a bit of a collector and sparked my interest in it and I've recently revived that interest and started putting together some albums. The s mint coins are of interest to me as I rarely ever find them. Thanks again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
@Kentucky - How did you know that I was here doing that "Laaaady" of Jerry Lewis when I heard he had died? I glad you posted this. I loved Jerry Lewis very much.
Just limping onto the boards tonight to say i am excited about drawing the name of the winner in the morning. I say “limping in” because my normal high speed internet service provider is not working for some strange reason. Perhaps I will have the problem resolved easily and soon; but, the first thing I thought about when I discovered my connectivity issue tonight was....THE CT DRAWING!!! Oh No!!! So, just in case tomorrow morning comes and I can not even get this little hub thingy up and running, and you do not see a winner posted yet, just be sure that I am out there working on it and will have the winner posted as close to 9am (maybe earlier) as possible. Sure, why not? I don’t have enough stress in my life?!?!
Good morning happy people! I just finished reaching into the hat with all names in it....and the winner is: @SchwaVB57 !! Congratulations! Also. Here is a photograph of what is in the package you'll receive: The only thing that is not included here is a photograph of the ancient. I've just decided it will be one of the lovely coins I got through @John Anthony!! I won't describe it here since it is 9AM and I want to post the winner on time! Yaaaayy! Edited to add description of ancient coin: Constantine II as Caesar with a Vot X reverse. AE Follis 18mm, AD 325-324 - A Full attribution by John Anthony will arrive with the coin. Please private message me with your address and I will get this package off to you this week when I go to the post office.
Wow! Thank you LaCointessa for the contest! I think it is the first time I have ever won a drawing. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! The ancient and foreign coins will be the first I have ever had in my possession. The PM is on the way. Again, thank you!
