Hello again all. I thought i'd show some of my follow up finds of a recent dig. About a week ago I took a drive and hit up a field that was rumored to have a old mom and pop general store that was tore down back in the 40's. Well I found a 1884 V nickel the first time around but it was a very small area I could detect in. I was told by the owner that I could come back and detect again because they were removing the overgrown area to make way for a house they are building for their son. I went and helped out and im tired as heck but it produced this so far. I think I will take pics of the land I am detecting the next time they are working on it so you can see the struggle lol. funfind1.jpg

Wow PAddyman, you found that in six hours! I've tried beach hunting in Ocean City MD and so far have found all of two quarters. Any clues to help me? I have a Minelab XTerra 305 if that helps.

hey it was a simple case of misunderstanding and after a nap I realized my mistake and apologized. There are some that are on here that must be buzzed all the time :D. Nice score by the way.

    My favorite finds :)
A William III halfpenny and an intact colonial shoebuckle. Both were ironically found on the 4th of July. IMG_3336.JPG IMG_3352.JPG

    What's about Garrett?
These are very popular in Germany.
    And Fisher, too.

Garrett, Whites, Fisher and Minelab are all excellent. Each has a specific build and preferences that detectorists prefer and the prices are a consideration also. My Minelab CTX 3030 is probably the most expensive.
