Was just on my way out the door and the fed ex truck rolled in to deliver my 2007 uncirculated coin sets. The coins look fine and the edge lettering on the pres. dollars can be easily seen. I think I like the new packaging.
wouldn't it be ironic that the mint set edge lettering is easier to read than the proof set edge lettering?
I'm sure that's the case. The proof set lettering is applied using a different technique, a 3-part die, rather than the post-stamping process used in circulating coins. I agree it's ironic. The proof is supposed to be the best quality all around.
