The peripheral toning on that Chilean peso is P-E-R-F-E-C-T.

I know it's a common coin - I've found them in bulk lots. Very modest catalog values, but that one is an absolute stunner with that symmetrical pastel toning. I'll bet that's the finest graded, isn't it? Wouldn't surprise me if it was the finest for the whole type. Oh, wait - it's a one-year type, so of course it must be the finest of the type! And it's a copper-nickel coin, too - not silver - so the toning is all the more amazing.

Thank you! I couldn't believe the toning as well - I'd never seen something like that on copper-nickel before. It is the finest graded - here's the PCGS ValueView page for it: https://www.pcgs.com/pop/valueview.aspx?s=111874.

Quite a nice OP coin for sure, and well photographied, congrats !
As other have already stated, I can't imagine the owner of such a beauty being able to have just one ancient. It's like peanuts : you can't have just one !!

Oh, but if you're gonna have just one, let it be one like the coin in the OP, definitely.

Yes, but I meant to say "I would find impossible to just have one like the OP coin"
    Impossible, it's a hard drug, once you've tasted it, you're done :D

Great stuff! That Maundy tuppence is especially stunning.

The reverse on the ZAR railroad medal is quite interesting and unusual.

I'd love to see the Regensburg 1/32 Ducat in its holder. That's one of those extremely tiny "mouse's aspirin" sized pieces, isn't it? Smaller than a "Panama Pill", or not? I've never seen one in hand.

Thanks! I don't have any images of the holder on me at the moment, but in lieu here's a US dime for scale. -Rex

Awesome. Exactly the sort of scale comparison I was wondering about.

Atlas is my favorite window-shopping site. And, every once in a while, when the celestial bodies are aligned just so (in other words, when my piggybank is full enough), I have been been known to do some actual shopping there.
