I was wondering what the general opinions are on the Coin World Slabs? I see they come in "premier" and "standard" sizes. Are they worth the money? Do you think they are made of inert materials as claimed?

Any stories of personal experience with these slabs would be very welcome!!!

As long as we are on the topic of coin holders what would you recommend over the coin world slabs (if anything)? And why? I guess I am just full of questions tonight! LOL

I've never used them myself, I am familiar with them though. They are a good, quality holder. I alwas thought they were too expensive when compared to Air-Tite holders ( my personal preferrence ).

But then not everybody likes the round Air-Tites, some prefer the slab-like holders. So in that regard it's really a matter of taste.

I have a copule of them downstairs, they were given to me as a sample by a delaer.
They do look nice, but I have never taken them out of the package.

Personally, I think they are for people who can't afford slabs but would love their coins to be encapsulated.

I use Coin World Premier holders for my raw Morgans. I also purchased the plastic pages that hold 9 holders per page. I put them in a binder and it makes a nice presentation. The coins have been in the holders for over a year now and they show no signs of any toning or corrosion. I hope this helps...........

I've used about 4 of them and all things considered, I prefer black ring airtites. I like the shape and size, but I think they hold the coin a little too firmly and could potentially cause a little wear on the rim surface of an uncirculated coin.

Thanks so much everybody. I will take it all into consideration when I buy my next batch of supplies.
