[Game] World Coins Time Machine… Counting Backward by Year! (Plus Prize Coin)

Here's my 1834. Two British coins and one from Turkey. I love that they made a 1 1/2 pence coin. I wonder how often that was appropriate for spending?

Here are a couple of 1834s. I am really glad I got into these coin posting games on here, as it has finally got me off my lazy butt and busy photographing and inventorying my collection.

 

Here is an 1833 Central American Republic 2 real that is XF45 in NGC's opinion.

As usual, my photos can’t do justice to the coin. The Tegucigalpa mint was pretty crude in 1833. I believe that everything you see in the coin photo is courtesy of the Tegucigalpa mint. At first the coin looked scraped & looked like it had a damaged rim. After more careful inspection, I believe that these are all original planchet & strike characteristics.

This NGC XF45 grade might be open to some debate but you really need to have the coin in-hand to appreciate that it is “as made” back in 1833. Therefore, I think it is "as made" and "UNC".

 

the CAR design is my favorite, I feel lucky to own one. I rarely see many and never a 2R.

Well, I worked and drove through 1833, but all I had was another 'junk silver' find, so not a great loss!
