Hey there, so before I attempt the pvc test I was wondering if anyone has this particular coin case holder and knows if it contains pvc. I did some searching around and I couldn't find an answer on this and wondered if anyone else knows, and has tested it out themself before. Thank you for looking and commenting if you do.
Thank you I'll be showing the whole album soon when I get all my coins in. If you want I'll tag you in the post when I am done so you can see
I am no authority but; you might want to do some more research. I would stray away from the soft ones.
Well there is a simple test out there, and mine does crease and it's staying creased. But I may have to do the wizard test anyways cause i want to know for sure.
The VERY easiest way is to smell it...does it smell like a shower curtain? Shower curtains are vinyl and you smell additives.
yeah you can smell it... :\ dog gonnet.. ima have to take them all out i think in less than a month or so.. ill see if my mom can order me some different ones.. Rawrrrrrrr that took me forever too lol.. i was so excited to have them all safe and sound... turns out they are not safe at all owell.
Hey not your fault. You should be saying your welcome lol. You saved me from having a lot of heart ache. Haha
Actually vinyl is not good material for long term storage, but coins stored in vinyl in conditions of fairly low temperature and low humidity out of the light would be stable for many years.
This "Mohetbi" means actually "Coins" in russian, not some brand name I don't know about this album, but as much as I have seen russian coin albums, none of them have been good to coins.
The holder was so cheap I assumed it was PVC and only used it to store some "unimportant" and not particularly valuable pieces. They will stay in it in my lifetime. I was looking to see what the name meant, thanks Muhfff.
