Help identifying coin...Chile?

heres an odd one I'd love some insight into. The flip says a possible trial piece for gold...
It's quite small and has a blank reverse.

It does have the old Chilean shield and star. That's all I can tell you.

 

It's way too small to be a die trial for a 10 peso, or really any Chilean coin. My guess is a play token or other novelty.
