I been collecting odd coins since forever not really a collector but i think i may have some cool finds..im ready to let my collection go and hoping i have something worth something so a friend said this may be a place i could find out if they are worth anything thank you for your help and taking the time to look
Your picture of the Zincoln (copper coated zinc cent) is nice, but just shows some zinc rot. The other is so out of focus, nothing can be said. Focused pictures with an indication of what you think you are seeing can get some opinions.
Itsa 1953 s but the s is hanging right off the tail of the 5 looks like the s has doubling ..thank you maybe i can get some better pictures sorry
Yes, ma'am... but, unfortunately, is still said "zinc rot". As for the 53, do remember that mintmarks were still hand-punched into dies at that time, and means positions can vary. Yes, the location does appear to be less common, yet doesn't make it significant or valuable. As for any possible doubling it may display, I simply cannot see it well enough to say one way or the other.
