    They are not silver.

    What were those bags coins that looked to be silver? I Bought some US Silver Dollars from this person a few days ago and that those coins looked interesting. Thanks

    They were shillings made of cupro-nickel - the same thing our clad coins are made of.

    There should be two types amongst that lot the Scottish Lion & the English Lion both are British coins & not English. I have to say the condition looks very good but unless there are some older shillings amongst them then they will be Cupro Nickle & not silver :D

    Thanks, no longer mine however. It was 1 coin in an original Proof set btw.
