Hi Zohar! Nice to see you here and congratulations on obtaining this coin. It is quite attractive. I particularly like the way the clouds on the reverse were executed. I only have one Austrian coin so far. Like yours, it references Hungary and shows that Frances was still emperor at least up until 1869 when my coin was minted. Now I am interested (and will have to go and read) to know more history about his reign and who he was - what type of ruler he was. I also really like the reverse of my coin because it says Bohemia and I think I have Bohemian 'style' or 'flavor' when it comes to color. Oh! Wait. Was this a different Emperor Frances than the one depicted on your coin?
He was the last Holy Roman Emperor (1792–1806) and, as Francis I, emperor of Austria (1804–35); he was also, as Francis, king of Hungary (1792–1830) and king of Bohemia (1792–1836). The 1830 coin above was issued for Hungary as a one year type.
