I'm usually informed on this kind of matter, but my 1787 Massachusetts large cent that I found in a half dollar roll about a week ago is so worn that the details are mostly flat. Any help?
Not the best pictures but my gut reaction is that it is real. Most of the copies are copper plated base metal and that kind of wear would expose the base metal.
