Right on buddy, I wonder how long this listing will last !!! http://cgi.ebay.com/sgs-grading-rip...goryZ524QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If I read that correctly, you just signed up to pay $60 for that coin. Did you see that he wants $50 to insure it?
What? I better read that again !! Your right.. I emailed him, keep the coin, I'll paypal the $5 after, just keep running the auction !!!
The guy is obviously venting his anger. The fact that he is letting the sole bidder off is his indication that he is trying to make the point that SGS is less than substandard in grading. Perhaps he is trying to enlighten the less experienced or novice collector?
I thought he was honest with the initial listing, but the response to someone actually bidding on it kind of confirms it.
Shipping was $5 to begin with. What it said and still says is; You can read that anyway you choose. I was just warning Jack.
That is one nasty coin. I hope it helps to send a message. Also that was nice of the seller to drop the insurance, and be up-front about what he is doing.
rlm: Agreed, and then he said: "just wanted to let everyone no.that am not a crook .the ebay member that bid on this did not read about the 50.00 ship.i will let him out of bid or charge 5.oo priority if he wants this crappy coin.mybe i can list the others and get some of my money back.this might be a good thing!!@!!!"
I read it. He has agreed previously and presently to charge $5 for SHIPPING. He has not waived the $50 INSURANCE. I ASSUME that is what he means, but that is not what he sad. He sounds honest and genuinely upset, but.........
Jack, Are you saying that we should "run up" the bids on this auction? If so, I will gladly put in a bid on this piece of junk that SGS graded MS-70! LOLOL swick
The seller will keep my $5 and the coin. Then he can run it again, over and over. The object is not to run the price up at all, but to just keep the listing going !!
Just got an email from Dennis ( seller ). Abon took him for $300 in scam coins and he is running this to let everyone know about it. He does not want to sell the coin, thus the high shipping. I told him keep the $5 to help defray ebay costs and keep runing it, and also told him about this post, he might check in with us, we'll see.
The guys got a lot of heart, youv'e got to give him that. I hope the sgs experience doesn't sour him on collecting.
