Non-coin related: I found out on Tuesday that I'll be moving into a place of my own on October 1. I'm 33 and have never left home. So, I'm pretty freaked out by it. But, I know it's a move that I have to make.

Thankfully, I'll only be 10 minutes from my parents and my brother. My sister lives about 15 minutes away.

I don't know how it will turn out. I certainly hope for the best. Mentally and emotionally, it's started to affect me.

My mom is going to stay with me for the first week to help me get used to it. This will help a lot.

This means that my coin collecting is coming to an end for, at least, the near future. I''m ok with this. This year has been an incredible year for my collection thanks to the generosity of many here. So, it's ending on an incredibly high note!:)

Once I get settled in, I'll sit back and really enjoy and appreciate what I have. I have the privilege of holding true history in my hands that many don't have, so I won't take it for granted!

I'll still be kicking around. My brother will probably be adding to his collection, so I'll be posting those things.

Thanks to all of you for your generosity and support! Words, nor deeds, could ever really convey my gratitude!!

I really like the bottle cap coin too! It looks to be a thick coin correct?

Well, you know what this means...

Kegger at Erin's place on October 2! Woooo!!!

But seriously, congratulations on the move, and I certainly wish you good luck. I hope you do stick around here, even if you're not actively collecting.

Great move Erin, just take it one day at a time.

You have our support here on the ancients forum.

With so many long time collectors here that enjoy sharing I think your collection will continue to grow.

    :)

    Thanks everybody!

Party up in here! headbang.gif I hope you all enjoy the fine music of William Hung, I will play it ad nauseam.:singing:

It's going to be a huge challenge. But, thankfully, my bosses (who are amazing people), will be my landlords. If it doesn't work out, it'll be okay.

I'm currently trying to ugliest pictures I can find to put on the walls. :D

I may follow your example on cooling it on the collecting for a while. I think I'm going to study and concentrate on what I have already and give the buying frenzy a rest. I'll still be commenting, posting and designing posters and flips but for the coins I already have. I'm planning to experiment with some creative ways to exhibit my coins. Anyway—you know where we are if you ever feel like coin talking

I'll definitely be around. I check the forum at least three times a day. So, you're stuck with me. :D

I'm better at communicating on the forum than I am in real life. As mentioned before, I have issues that make it hard for me to function at full capacity most of the time. You guys don't really get to see that, so, the internet's limits help me feel more comfortable.

It sucks that I won't be able to collect any more, but it's a reality that I have to face. As I said, it will help me to better appreciate what I have instead of always looking to 'the next one.'

Btw, if anybody has any advice on how to make the transition from living with parents to living independently easier, I would really appreciate it!

    Erin

PS: Feel free to post random coins too!

I would want to say "take it easy"
I bet nothing serious can happen as long as you establish a daily routine. And in a very short future you will get more and more self confidence to explore the world around you with no fear.
You will then soon realize your parents, bro' and friends are here "just in case*"...but there will be no case :)

    * appart from their love for you of course

Take care, I'm pretty sure you'll be okay

    All my best

    Well written @Cucumbor ...

I agree... I have helped transitition / launch 6 completely different personalities of my Daughters into Life. Time, patience, love...

You will be fine... a little at a time, enjoy the experience.
