1966 dime reverse error?

    Looks like a Die Crack.. That means there was a Crack that formed on the Die after many strikes to create Dimes. Common.

    Mainly wondering about the flame how it runs up straight line

    It's not unusual for cracks to form at a place where the field of the die drops into a deeper area to form a device such as the flame. As the crack on the die widens and gets longer, planchet metal flows into the void which appears raised above the field on the coin.
