A lot of you guys and gals may know me already, but just in case ... My name is Tim Puro and I am a full time coin dealer in Rutland, VT. I mostly concentrate on coins from $5 to $150 and have a web site and a small shop. I set-up at only a few coin shows (Albany, NY and Burlington, VT), but I do try to attend a few national shows a year on buying trips. For my personal coin collection, I like coins with exceptional eye appeal. I also keep coins for my collection that I don't typically see in the shop or at the local shows I attend (put aside a nice Charlotte gold coin and a California gold the other day). I also keep all of the pocket pieces, civil war tokens and counterfeit coins I buy. I will be mostly a lurker on the list, but I look forward to reading everyone's posts.
Greetings Tim, I believe (but could be wrong ???) I've purchased from you in the past. No problems and all coins were as advertised. Never-the-less welcome on board. Take Care Ben AKA (Ebay Handle, greenfdhog)
Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing ya around. Let us know if anything really interesting comes into your sop, I know we'd enjoy the story! Hope you enjoy it here. Phoenix
Tim Welcome to CT :thumb: - Yep $5 is in my range , good luck and hope you find it interesting... If Leadfoot says you're okay - you must be a good guy!
Hello Tim and welcome to the site. I don't believe I"ve ever bought from Tim but have asked questions about his coins in the past. Always got a straight forward and honest reply. Gotta believe he tells it like it is. Hey everyone - isn't it nice to have a dealer/seller find us and not because we're lambasting them? Certainly a change of pace! clembo
welcome Tim!!! Been a long time sonce I have seen that name!!! Glad you found us here!!! ... and yes... Tim is one of the guys in the "White Hats"!! best, mike noodle
Thank you for the kind words from everyone! I wanted to apologize for posting my web site link in my old signature. I wasn't aware that it was against the rules and have since figured out that cointalk is much more collector oriented (rather than business oriented like other forums). I'm happy to be a part of the group and hopefully I'll find some time to post to the group.
Yes I am a coin dealer ... but I am also a collector. Dealers get a bad rap, but there are some good ones out there.
