Hi, I have a token that is from the 1892/1893 World Fair. It is in fairly good condition. I had it appraised MANY years ago, (about 15 years ago), at $450. Anyone have any ideas of what it is worth today? I am including the Obverse and Reverse. There are a few "dings" on the edges that you can see in the photos.
    Thanks in advance!

That's odd! I just looked through both editions of the Hibler-Kappen SCD book, and I can't find a listing for it.

I've tried searching a lot lately, and cannot find anything either. Strange... Thanks Chris. I'll wait to see if anyone else has something to say about it.

hhhmmm me either....i could not locate it anywhere....However my grading is a true VF.... Reason being is the reverse has a ding in the rim near 1892 and there are 2 dings on top of the words " Christopher & Columbus " ..By rights there are damages.
As it has not been cleaned and some high points are still visible, i feel that it is better then Fine and not as good as VF because lustre is gone and the dings. I dont know if i am wrong but with the index finger pointing out on his left hand but can i see a fingernail ??

I was gonna say in the $125-150 range but I guess they are even cheaper than that now.

Exonumia is a tough market any more. No one seems to care much about the historical items anymore. The average age in The Token and Medal Society is 62.

There you go...I am 60..... I do like all sorts of philatelics and numismatics as they are better than women...The reason why is that they ( coins, stamps, banknotes , medallions etc ) appreciate with age, dont answer back .... With the picture of the 1919 victory WW1 era medal i have as a logo, those were given out to school students for the victory of WW1 in 1919 but not many were kept. As they are not silver, most were thrown away....Over the years it is due to the availability that makes them saleable. On top of that, they fall under a catagory valled militaria so it has a few strings to the bow....School students use them for school projects and my normal price is about 25.00 complete with ribbon.... When you look at ebay auction # 142495523239...

notice the loop is broken off the top and they are asking just about the price i ask for a perfect one WITH RIBBON!!! I really think that seller does not know what he has... OIO

Thank you for this... Once I had the coin designation, I found, as some have posted, the coin is worth ~$125 - 150. I did see this post on ebay, though... If I can get that, I'd be VERY HAPPY!!!

Dont rely what you see on ebay... I like to sell on ebay as well but mainly for under $5.00....On ebay all you will find is crap...A good reason is all things starting at 99c... if it isw located in china, i stay away from it... I am sure there are sellers out there with 2 computers bumping their items up so be careful....

Right, I am aware of that. I am not buying, I was just looking for an estimated value. Thanks for the info, though!

As i have said before, estimated value is what a person is willing to pay for it....
