I'm headed up to Canada for a quick trip.
Somewhere lying around I have some QEII $1 bills.

    1. Are they still spendable in Canada?
    2. If so, do common Canadian $1 bills have more collector value than C$1.
    3. Will Canadian vendors accept them?

They are legal tender, aren't they? (2) that is, if anyone is collecting them.

    1. Technically yes, as they're still legal tender but it's up to the vendor if they choose to accept.
    2. Maybe - really depends on condition/serial #/etc.. per usual..., otherwise and in most cases, a $1 = $1 be it paper or loonie.
    3. Up to the vendor, some may; some may not just because they don't have room for them in till anymore. That said, you're better off bringing them to a bank (depending on the bank...you may have to be a customer of theirs in order to bring old currency to them to accept).

I'd say try with vendor first, I think many still will accept (especially if it is an older cashier - some of the youger ones may not have ever handled any).
(I still have vendors accept $0.01 and $0.50 though neither of those are issued anymore).

& ...welcome back to Canada, what's taken soooo long ;)?

    Thanks for the responses.
I'll forget about them and stop at an ATM once I cross the border.

I'm headed for the Air Force Museum in Trenton, ON.
One of my great uncles flew for the RFC in WWI.
He took pilot training in Canada and that's the items I'll be donating.
