Help identifying old 8 pfenning coin

    I bought this coin as part of a large batch. It was identified as an 8 pfennig coin from an unknown German state. I am unable to identify it accurately. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello, looks like 8 Heller from German States Cologne, the date possibly 1712 but maybe not.

    That does look like it. Thank you! I was told it was 8 pfennig so that is where I was looking. Your suggestion is an 8 Heller coin. Seems like it is worth quite a bit more than I paid, even in that bad a condition. :)
