Thank you very much. I found this coin in a small coin store in Birmingham (UK) for a price of 7 pounds. Look very nice in-hand with much luster.
I liked both of your Indian Heads as well. I would have gladly paid your purchase price for either of them.
I got this for 20 bucks off a guy who needed the money. Funny thing. He told me it was xtra fine, and he wanted 20 bucks for it. Started seeing dollar signs when he said XF. But it turned out that it barely good. I figured since I didn't have a large cent, might as well buy the coin and do him a favor, while still appealing to my coin collection. I know it's in horrible condition but owell.finally got one
Well, there was a second one of the 2001-D missing the clad layer found in one of the same $100 Mixed P&D Mint bags as mine. (Keep in mind that these bags were released by the Mint in late 2004.) It was sometime in 2005 that this second coin was listed raw on eBay. It sold for $555. (By the way, the seller of the other specimen said that mine looked to be in better condition than his.) To date, these are the only specimens known to exist for the 2001-D Kennedy missing the clad layer. Chris
$2.50 for the album. Most of the coins are circulated junk but the toners look promising. For what I paid I think I can put them on facebook penny auctions and easily get my money back. The 58D looks like the best one.
