John even though a newbie, I wish you well on your first show. Btw, I would like to get a budget coin from you. How?

Are the small shows in the area worth going to at all? It always looked like there were only a handful of ancients dealers at them, and probably even fewer now with the passing of Cederlind. I enjoyed the Denver ANA show which had several dealers but it's hard to convince myself to take the day off work and deal with downtown Denver traffic for 3 or 4 sellers.
I did the Aurora Coin Show for over a decade, unfortunately they shut down last year. It really depends on what you are looking for, I had regular customers that would go. I lived just a few minutes away so it was an easy set up. Sometimes Bill Rosenblum had tables there too. The show at the western stock-show complex and ANA show are definitely better.
I'd love to walk into a coin show and see that. The last two coins shows I went to I really had to search to find any ancients, and those were bargain bins coins hidden in junk boxes with other moderns or a sandwich bag full of 100 or so low end LRB. Hope it goes well!
Well I went to Staples today and got some supplies. I didn't have to buy any lights - I have two adjustable light arms that came with my copy stand, and they clamp to a table quite nicely. I found some nice little burnished leather pads that feel about the same as felt which customers can place coins on, a couple of lighted magnifying glasses, sign holders, business card paper, a book of receipts. My wife made me buy the little bags. She said, "People are going to want to put their coins into nice little bags." I said, "Honey, that's what pockets are for," but she was having none of that.
I asked Don Zauche about his use of little bank envelopes. Considering the number of checks and bills he has to take to the bank after each show, they don't mind supplying him with a stack of cash envelopes which will hold at least 25 coins of the sizes I buy. I might suggest taking a few for customers who want something easier to close securely (gummed flaps) and fit in a pocket without handles.
Don't forget to add an Extension cord from thto your growing list from the garage if you haven't already. M.X.
I have a show box with a bunch of stuff in it ready to go, otherwise I would forget everything,, even with that I forget something usually. Small bills etc
Hey gang, I recently bought a 2006 Benjamin Franklin CC. MS70, I bought it because I had bought another months before and thought the 1st one I purchased had an error when in fact, I think the 2nd I bought has an error or errors...I think, I'm very new to this but it seems as though the obverse side is...idk what it is. I'm waiting on my USB microscope to arrive so I can post my finds... driving me nuts I can't Show-N-Tell my finds...so with all that, is anyone going to the... Annual Indiana State Coin Show (INSA) Next show: Oct 27th - 28th, 2017? I've never been to a coin show and this will be my 1st. I'm eager to go & hope find any and all info pertaining to the 2006 Benjamin Franklin MS70 coin I have.
To add a little more about the coin, the words " Benjamin Franklin Scientist " seems to not be filled in correctly??
You might want to ask some folks in the American Coins forum @BornNlustTRN2dust - someone here might be able to help, but we all collect ancient coins
