    Found this in a roll today. What caused the lines down the obverse side? There are also lamination errors on the reverse... 1966p-obv.jpg 1966obverside.jpg 1966p-obv3.jpg 1966obvneck.jpg 1966obvleft.jpg 1966reliber.jpg 1966p-rev.jpg 1966revle.jpg 1966p-rev1.jpg

    The 'lines' are the result of
    the lamination strip (improper metal mixture)
    that's been lifted off the surface of the coin.

    It's rough because that area was not struck with
    a die; the metal that has 'peeled' off the struck
    coin - the popular term used to be 'peeled lamination'.

    Now they're just called, in most cases, Laminations.
    Some will say the proper term is Delamination, but
    like 'clipped planchet' ( a misnomer if there every was)
    I used to older term that's been in use for well over
    60++ years.
