Cool token. Looks to be relatively scarce. I'd not seen one before. There's a higher grade one on Ebay at present, I see. One John H. Clay appears in post Civil War, Philly directories as a locksmith. He may be the same guy who patented a door latch and perhaps more into the 1890's. The guy who issued this token, perhaps the locksmith, must have been a man of means. Some interesting history could likely be attached to these firehouse medalets.
