    Low grade iPhone photo...
Error may be nothing spectacular, but fun.
    Coin is a 2000.
    Thought I'd share :)

rzage What Goes Around Comes Around .

Looks like a squeeze job by taking another coin and clamping it in a vise . Though I don't know how it left the rim ends complete and not compressed !

The overstrike looks like it could be the "AT" (from STATES?) on the reverse, but I can't explain how the rim went undamaged as well.

maybe we all are missing something but nowadays thanks to shows like pawn stars, they think anything strange is worth a bundle....Deep down it is only worth what a person is willing to pay for it and no more.... Fred could say it is parallel to elizabeth taylors huge diamond ring that rock hudson got her but if there in no buyer for it, then it is worth nothing..correct??

Where the half dollar in concetned , it really is nothing special in my eyes....Keep it in your collection as a half dollar which is no longer minted but as for the fault, i would not lose any sleep over it or begin planning my next world adventure...

Your photo of the reverse is distorted because you took the photo at an angle.

I just got back from Metal Detecting ;)

The letters look incused and the Half Dollar is warped in the area. It's PMD - Post Mint Damage.
