It's been weeeks since everyone else got them. I even stopped checking the status of it. And then it came in!!! Woohoo! I was on the waiting list, I can't believe I got it!! Came in just in time, I was starting to think that I havn't recieved any new coins in a while, I was afraid my intrest was wanning.
I don't have a choice, my parents opened it when it came in, they didn't know what it was. If they did not open it though, what collector would not open it!!??
Not first release? Why not open the box? These wouldn't be graded with "first release" designation if they were shipped out last, would they?
UNC sets still for sale at mint. Purchased UNC and Proof 9-15-07 from mint. My Unc shipped 10-05-07, my proof just came up in stock ready to ship:hammer:
Just called the mint about mine.... since mine shipped on 9/25/07 "We do not consider these lost or stolen until 30 days after they ship" Plus they sent them parcel post... registered... to my PO Box. Bunch of clowns. GRR!
I believe that they are sold out. edited: I stand corrected: the mint's web site says that the uncs are sold out-- waiting list only. But, they do not say that for the proofs! Surprise, surprise.
right! You can get on a waiting list for the unc, but the proof is history... I wonder if they had a lot of cancelled unc orders, or why they would still offer a coin that is long gone?
as of today the Mint still has them for sale (waiting List) which does not help the market price. I'm sure it is useless to order now, so when is the mint going to take down the sale sign
I wonder what would happen if I ordered another one??? lol ordering limit kick in? maybe that's what they enforced, leaving them with coins for the late orders pure speculation, but fun nonetheless
I did try to get a second Unc. The system initially took the order and canceled it the following day. I did this just for kicks. I'm still wanting to get another, and may pick up a 70 as such time as I can muster the funds!
