2016 p dime error

    Sorry my camera is crappy, but I found a 2016 p dime with a perfect circle around Roosevelt. Can anyone tell me if it is a common error? I haven't been able to find another one like it through my own research. TIA!

    not an error. it is post mint damage due to a banks counting machine. it leaves circles on coins when it got counted.

    Wow! You sure have good eyes! Those images are so small, that I was barely able to tell that it was a dime. J/K!

    Ah, ok. I thought it could be a die break because the metal is raised on the outline of the circle. I'm still a beginner ;)

    I think the circle is created when the Dimes are put into paper rolls and the end is crimped. The crimping damages the surface of the coin.
