I found this in a coin roll hunt and I am having difficulty finding out what type of error this is. It is a 2015 P jefferson. I was wondering what the lines are? 2017-08-25 10.28.08.jpg 2017-08-25 10.28.40.jpg 20170825_101751.jpg If anyone could help it is much appreciated. I was curious... it weighs a tad less than a normal nickel and is a bit thinner? Thank You for your consideration

Environmental damage with light etching of the surfaces which has caused the planchet striations to become more visible.

    It's PMD - post-minting damage

For better or worse, I concur. Post-mint damage.

    An error in judgment.

  11. I have to think it looks like road rash, have to go along with the parking lot.

These might be roller marks, but the coin is in such bad condition that I can't rule out environmental staining.
