Kennedy Halves Help Please

Going to look at several tolls of 40% Kennedy 50s pcs. What's the most 8 should pay per coin. He tried $8 for 90% and $4 for 40% is that fair to both sides?

That's 16x for 90% and 8x for 40%... sounds high to me, but I'll wait to hear others chime in.

 

I can get 100 kennedies 65-69 I can get for $300. Fair deal?

 

He said $300 for 108 coins.

 

Last coin club meeting, $7.00 or 14x for Kennedy 90% in Houston area.

 

@NewCollectorRick , why do you want to buy 40% anyway?

 

I was just going to buy to look for errors. If you all think its a bad investment then I will listen. Definitely don't want to make big mistake and lose money. EBay shows completed listings around $255-279 for 100 coins.

 

He did have other coins I could get walking liberties 1944, 1942 D , 1936 S , 1936 D , 1919, 1918 S and 1919D. I believe a 1921 also

 

There are a good bit of errors in those years but $3 a coin seems high. Lots of 100 should be 150-170 from what I saw but just read the 66 is worth $1.50 only so just got w little confused

 

I wouldn't pay more than $250.00 for the lot. Shipped!

 

I'm picking them up in person. Now I'm getting 108 coins. I figured 165 since he's adding 8 more

 

Did not purchase yet. Waiting till 500 so he sweats a little and comes down on price
