1988 wam keep it red

    I got the penny in a sleeve other than that how do I preserve it from being or turning brown or oxidized or whatever I need to preserve this penny I touched it so I'm afraid that my oil for my hand

    I need some help should I wash the coin with soap and water to take the oils from my hand off of it or should I just leave it in the sleeve and leave it alone please help thank you

    Trying to preserve a 1988 red Wham I touched the penny but after that I put it in a sleeve should I take it out of the sleeve and wash it off because the oil from my hand may have got on it or just leave it alone

    No need for multiple threads :facepalm:
    It's WAM not Wham.. and I think they mentioned to you that all 1988 Cents are WAM's.
    In my opinion, no need to try to get it to RED again. Leave your Cents alone. Wash your hands before handling any coins. RED is perfect from the Mint. You will never get it to that condition again.
