Oh good heaven. Dollar coins. Now I'm thinking I need all the president coins. I don't figure on every getting dimes all the way back or quarters. But clad dollars are within reach.

SBA wide rim/near date and the elusive cheerio dollar, along with one from each year nicest example. I also like keeping the nicest example of each respectable president I find. Ya know, Washington, Adams and Jackson. Also one each of the NA Dollars best condition.

Going to get another box of halves from where I scored yesterday. Hoping that there will be some continuity of the silver in that batch.

Got that other box of halves. 1 64. I also got a 40%er from the teller. I noticed a dark rim and cherry picked it with the remaining 50 cents I had in my pocket. I haven't been too active on teller trays in quite some time. I think I'll just do it when I am picking up boxes, not do special trips for just teller trays blindly.

Got 10 more dead president coins.
Only need 7 of the first 20.
Have yet to see a 25-39.

I check bank rolls (over 32,000) in a 3 month period. I've never been that lucky. I have found 1 Walker, 2 Franklins, and a handful of pre 71 Kennedys.

By bank rolls do you mean CWR MWR or just rolls in general? And did you mean 32k coins or rolls? Everyone hits dry spells and sometimes you just hit a good run then it dies off. The first time you hit a collection dump it may liven the urge a little more.

I must admit, I'm not familiar with your terms. I buy boxes of circulated coins (all denominations) and check through them for what I call "common" varieties, like the 82 Kennedy half with the designer's initials "missing".

    Oh sorry...
    CWR is customer wrapped roll
    MWR is machine wrapped roll
I go through boxes as well and I'd say that I have more luck with customer wrapped than machine wrapped. I do the quick check for common varieties, including the 82 no FG as well, along with silver. It's a fun pastime. I hit about 4 ounces last week but nothing so far this week. Then I see other guys doing well and it's motivating. Keep at it and you'll hit that collection dump.

Agreed. Before I moved to Amarillo, I lived near Dallas and had access to cwr's and did quite well, but since retiring to Amarillo, no bank here even accepts cwr's.

I had a business trip to Dallas and had some luck at the teller trays at the Wells Fargo's. Had luck in Amarillo too as getting rolls from banks there was not difficult. Those were MWR tough.

$30 in CWR halves and $7.50 loose from 2 banks yielded nothing worth keeping. I'm due to find something good!
