I think paying a subscription will come down the road for the Greysheet. More importantly I want to see what the hobby is about and how you guys know so much about it. It's a bit overwhelming but exciting at the same time. We found a treasure and I would like to learn why it is is indeed a treasure:)

"For instance the 2016 PR70DCAM Buffalo above where someone valued it as over $2000. That is way too high a valuation imo as most dealers aren't going to care about the first strike, 1st day of issue label and would realistically probably offer you $1500-1600 if your lucky when selling".
Anything marked first STRIKE or FIRST DAY OF ISSUE are slabbed by TV infomercial channels to make new collectors think a coin is WAY more valuable than it actually is. These coins are usually 2 to 3 hundred dollars overvalued. Stay away from fast talking, truth stretching salesman on late night TV programs. My gut says the FIRST STRIKE was purchased originally from CoinVault.

For what it's worth there have been 7 2016-W PR70DCAM's sold at Heritage in the past year with an average selling price of $1800 although the trend has been going down lately.

Hello, as the others have mentioned the pricing in the Red Book is not accurate and that is do to the fact that the market is always changing. If you were to sell to a dealer you will get a lot less than selling to a collector. And there are collectors that do like the first day label and pay a little more for it. The coins in this label are limited to the very first ones that made it in for grading ie. the first day. The Mega Red Book teaches you a lot about the different coins as you will see. The mintage, the scarcity in the different grade, the designers of the coin, the different types within a variety as well as the errors that have been identified as well as many more things. And I wanted to mention again that ebays completed listings as well as the NGC site are great places to learn what the going rate is for these coins from viewing completed auctions; but I will say this; a lot of these coins should be going for a lot more than what they do go for, the market is ruined unless you have something extremely rare.

The Red book is a great reference, I sure wish I knew who, has mine.

If you need a new one check out Wizard Coin, they have them I believe half price and the new Mega Red one is the best.

Nice quality stuff. A true 70 grade still carries a premium.
And that 16-D quarter is a beauty. Dave had a good eye.
    Sincere condolences.

Everybody loves the GSA CC Morgan's. It's not a rare coin, but highly collectible. I would expect to get $200 to $225 for it.

I will say it before anyone else. You shouldn't handle raw coins with your bare hands. If you do only hold them by the edge. The oil in your hands can leave finger prints or other unwanted blemishes on your coins.
