This is why I wish I had a decent camera or scanner. I bought this coin last November at a show for $60 graded MS64 by NGC. I would probably call it closer to a 65, but I took a closer look at it today in my coin club.
I was working with the kids that are in the club and I'm explaining to them about Morgans. I pick this one out of my slab box and the reverse catches my eye. I take my magnifier and behold! Die clash marks on the reverse. You can clearly make out the back of Lady Liberty's cap, her nose and part of her neck. Another reason to buy the coin instead of the holder. NGC missed it. Would it be worth it to resubmit? I think not, but what would you recommend?

Clashes are very common, you can find them from every mint and every year. TPG companies do not put that on the plastic. The only time it is special is when you have a transferred letter.....

If you have a MS64 with a clashed E, you have a great coin.:)

You really have to get a VAM book, to check for the listing.

I think I will go ahead and get the book. I'm going to thoroughly examine all of my Morgans this weekend. I won't resubmit the 1885, but I will certainly hang on to it as a good conversation piece.
