Ro that is a great coin. I only have one with Augustus and bull, I got it for the colours and it makes a great jigsaw, but that is about all! Augustus Coin: Bronze As DIVI F AVGVSTVS - Bare-head of Augustus right, lituus and simpulum before and behind. CAESAR AVG / MNKANINIO ITER L TITIO / II VIR - Colonist ploughing with two oxen right. Mint: Spain (27 BC – 14 AD) Wt./Size/Axis: 9.20g / 28mm / - References: RPC 322 SNG Cop. 544
Wow! All of these coins are so fabulous. @Bing - There is so much motion in your bull! The tail flying, head way down, muscles in the neck flexed, the feet. It looks like there is almost a sheen of sweat on that animal. It's amazing. And the clarity of both sides just makes me crazy. It is so beautiful! I also really enjoy looking at all the rest of the bulls in this thread! Each one has something special and beautiful. @ro1974 - Your bull looks very regal and proud. @alde - Your bull looks like someone tried to snap a photo of it while it was moving. I'm sure I'll come back and look at all of these again.
What a great looking coin! Portrait is fantastic! Bull looks great. I like the toning as well...WINNER!
