Actually not a lamination. That is simply the bubbles made from the plating process. Very common, no added value.

That's pretty common with the zinc cents, but haven't seen that many bubbles on one like that before though. Might have a little value, but I'd hold on to it. Still neat. Nice find BTW. :thumb: Phoenix
I've seen this most of pennies from the 1980s. It's so bad, many of them actually have zinc ON the surface. ouch.
I just found a penny like the OP's this week. It looks like the penny has severe acne over the entire obverse (much worse than the OP's).
