Why do I never feel like a winner then when the government wins? It's always like when I go to Vegas and the House wins, I always go home short of money, but I feel like a winner!!
You might try losing the accusation BS! Everybody knows that secretaries are known to gossip in the break room. Chris
Not trying to get political, just making a point. There are confederate statues over in and around your neck of the woods, Kurt. I dont feel like we the people are winning with that. Infact, whenever the governement says they are winning, "we the people" are actually losing.
Not in MY neck of the woods, sir. The biggest monument on the Gettysburg Battlefield is Union, and the Pennsylvania one at that. I bear ZERO sympathy with the Confederacy, sir. But I don't think history should be re-written, either.
Not sure he actually lied in court, though his actions outside of it did appear to harm their case Theoretically yes that is very true. Things really act in practice as they do theoretically, certainly better than alternatives though.
Vegas is easy to be a winner. Just make sure you drink enough free drinks to more than cover the value of your losses
everyone knows we are all going to get in trouble from the principal for letting this slide into the depths of politics. Quick everyone point at Kurt!!!lol Oh it did happen, the state did try to step in and investigate it. I'll find the article.
The one thing 13 years of government service has proven to me (4 county, 9 state) is that with the exception of the garden-variety crooks, which do exist but are a small minority, the REST of government workers genuinely try to do what they think the people want, if they are policy makers, and do what their bosses say, if they are not. They have a flawed perception quite often, but their intent is usually pure. The other point is one guy who could be elected to any position he wanted in one area couldn't get elected to squat in another. People need to get out more and talk to people.
The Saddle Ridge coins? Yes I do believe they took a look to see if they could claim them and ultimately decided to let the family keep them and sell them. I do agree they probably could have gotten more money slowly sending them in and selling them off instead of expanding the population reports so quickly
That's exactly what I thought. It reminded me of when our dog once caught a chipmunk and proudly pranced around displaying it.
There sure are a lot of CT'ers who badly need mental health counseling, and I'd say this thread is proof.
Wasn't the Collective gracious in letting the family keep their property? Always better to play Sargent Shultz.
