    Hi All:

How should I be capturing images of coins to post up here or on other forums? I recently posted the 1872 cent and its image does not compare with others that I have seen here.

I used a scanner for the 1872 cent.

What resolution should I be scanning at?

Would a Digital camera be better, if so at what settings?

    Thanks,

    G.E.

You can go to the test forum and try different examples and do what ever works the best.

buy a digital camera. You can take photos of freinds, relatives, neighbors and even coins. Difficult to use a scanner on people. I guess it's possible, but a camera works better. They are getting really cheap lately. If you wait a few more months, they will all be on sale for the holidays. Many, many web sites and forums on how to use a digital camera for coins.

    Thanks for the info

Hi All: Thanks for the input.

I guess, I am going to have to do some experiments to get this down to get better images.
