Just the other day I found a 1943-S Jefferson nickel in one of my vending machines. I showed it to my attendant and explained that the war nickels were mostly silver and that the S versions weren't that common. He reached into his pocket and gave me another nickel for it since he was born in 1943 and wanted to save it. I said "Gee, ya got any more good deals like that?" Oh well, I had it for a couple of minutes anyway.
I got a very fine wheatie in the post office vending machine yesterday. Also a shiny red high MS quality 1985D cent in change. It is in excellent shape and I'm surprised about that since it had been in circulation for over 12 years before I pulled it.
i always keep the high quality zinc cents from the 80's and 90's too. don't you mean 22 years? nice find!:kewl:
Wheatman. Anytime you find a coin that brings joy to you it is a good find ,keep searching they are out there. Bruce.
I.B. Washincars, You should be able to find more in that line of work. I would imagine those coin machines at the car wash are a treasure trove for coin collectors. Btw, love that username you've got! LMAO
